VERNON, CT — Rockville High School had to deal with a stinky situation Tuesday morning.

Just after 9 a.m., fire trucks could be heard heading to the school. Students were evacuated and were outside when firefighters arrived. Principal Jason Magao said a gas-like odor was detected in the building and students were sent outside as a precaution.

By 9:22 a.m., the smell had dissipated, firefighters cleared the building, and students were let back inside, he said.
