Three Vernon Schools Briefly Locked Down

Three Vernon schools were briefly locked down on Monday morning.

At approximately 10 a.m., Rockville High School, Vernon Center Middle School, and Center Road School were briefly placed in a lockdown status due to an external incident reported by the Vernon Police Department.

At approximately 10:20 a.m., the Vernon Police Department cleared the external incident and all schools resumed normal operations.
