Town of Vernon in Litigation Against Landlord With Blighted Properties

The man owes the town tens of thousands of dollars in liens and unpaid fines.

The town of Vernon has taken action for a landlord to come into code compliance with a number of blighted properties he owns in Rockville, the Journal Inquirer reported.

Fines have been accumulating against Robert Poulios for nearly two years on property he owns at 125 and 127 High Street, for which the town has entered into litigation. He owns a total of 10 parcels in Vernon, the JI said.

The Vernon Building Code of Appeals board has set a deadline of Dec. 1 for Poulios to obtain building permits for necessary renovations to a dilapidated house he owns at 106 West Street. He has until Jan. 1, 2016 to have the work completed.
