Trapped Driver Freed From Car After Rollover Crash In Vernon
A driver had to be cut out of a vehicle after a rollover crash in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — A driver had to be cut out of a vehicle after a crash on Bolton Road in Vernon. Sunday, police said.
The crash took place at about noon along the 100 block.
Police and fire crews encountered a Honda on its side off the road with the driver — who was the lone occupant — trapped inside, police said.

Fire crews used a hand-held glass saw to cut open the windshield of the vehicle and the driver was removed with a scoop-board and transported to an area hospital for non life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.
This case remains open and no charges have been filed at this time, said police, who did not identify the driver.
