Vernon Arrests Include Drinking While Driving, Identity Theft

Troopers were conducting speed enforcement on I-84 eastbound in Vernon. At approximately 8:16 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle for speeding and after investigation, the operator was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, and failure to wear a seat belt. Caitlin K. Harris, 30, of 1238 Hartford Tpke. in Vernon, was later released on a $500 non-surety bond.

A vehicle was stopped for an expired registration. Investigation revealed that the operator, Christopher R. Pariseau 27, of 631 Talcottville Rd., Apt. 16C in Vernon, was intoxicated and drinking while driving. He was taken into custody and charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, and drinking while operating a motor vehicle. Pariseau was later released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Crystal A. Martin, 51, of 32 Smith St. in Springfield, was involved in a traffic collision on I-84 in Vernon. During the investigation, she was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs and was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests, which she took and failed. Martin was arrested and transported to Troop C and charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, failure to maintain lane, and driving without a license.

Michael Neville, under the authority of a Habeas issued by Rockville Superior Court, was transported from MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution to the court so that an active arrest warrant could be served. Neville, 28, of 80 Union St. in Vernon, was placed under arrest for three counts of third-degree identity theft for an incident in Tolland. He was processed and held on a $5,000 bond.
