Vernon Police ID Drivers Involved In Saturday Crash

Two people riding a motorcycle were hospitalized after a crash on the Hartford Turnpike, while two in a car were uninjured, police said.

VERNON, CT — Two people were hospitalized and two were uninjured after a crash on the Hartford Turnpike over the weekend, Vernon police said.

The crash occurred on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 1:16 p.m. near 236 Hartford Tpke. in Vernon, police said.

It involved a 2021 Audi Q5 being driven by Michael Fearon, 65, of Enfield, and a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle being operated by Nicholas Giudice, 77, of Manchester.

Giudice was transported to Hartford Hospital and is in stable condition. His passenger was taken to that hospital via Lifestar helicopter, where she remains in critical — but stable — condition, police said.

Police said Fearon and his passenger were not injured.

No charges have been filed in the crash, though Vernon Police and Metro Traffic Services are investigating it. Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Matt Guilmette at 860-872-9126.
