We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:

  • "I don't know if it is the biggest issue, but the traffic between the McDonald's in Rockville and the Lafayette plazas (Dunkin' Donuts and the former Red Apple) is so bad I get anxiety every single day. I haven't the first clue about what would fix it, but I am sure it needs to be addressed."
  • "I need a review of lights and new traffic counts throughout the town. One area: the intersection at Center Road School."
  • "How about having dedicated school bus stops instead of stopping every third house?"
  • "The condition of sidewalks and lack of sidewalks on routes 30 and 83."
  • "Safety issue? Maybe police/land ratio, bus monitors so bus drivers don't have to keep kids safe and watch road."
  • "The sidewalks everywhere in town."
  • "Route 83 cars go too fast, switch lanes too often. I hate traveling on it."
  • "The condition of the roads."
  • "Public school budget cuts!"
  • "All the potholes in the streets."
