Water Main Breaks In Vernon

VERNON, CT — A water main broke in Vernon Thursday night, police said.

Police and fire crews responded to the break near 9 McLean St. at 7:41 p.m.

Connecticut Water Company crews shut off the water to the area, stopped the leak and set up a restoration operation.

McLean Street remained shut down into Friday and the estimate for repairs to be completed was Friday afternoon, police said.
