Victim ID'ed In Deadly Mobile Home Fire: Reports

VERNON, CT — The woman who died in a fire early Sunday morning in Vernon has been identified, according to reports.

The victim was 61-year-old Teresa Garnett, WTNH reported.

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at a 55-plus community in the Middle Terrace area, destroying one mobile home and damaging the side of another residence, according to WFSB.

Garnett was trapped in the home when the fire broke out, WTNH reported.

Vernon police are investigating the blaze and anyone with information is asked to call 860-872-9126, according to WFSB.
