85-Year-Old Man Drives Truck Into Wallingford Gas Station
Alfred Misiaszek, 85, of Yalesville accidentally drove his truck into the Valvoline Instant Oil Change building in Wallingford Tuesday.

On Tuesday, an 85-year-old man was taken to the hospital after he accidentally crashed his truck into the Valvoline Instant Oil Change building on North Colony Road in Wallingford.
At around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Alfred Misiaszek, 85, of Yalesville, accidentally accelerated when backing up into a gas pump, and hit the corner of the gas station, according to The Record Journal. There was no structural damage to the building, but Misiaszek was taken to Mid State Medical Center for treatment because he had cuts on his arms and difficulty breathing, according to The Journal.
No one else was injured in the accident and the business was never closed because of it, according to The Record Journal.
