Burn Ban Lifted In Wallingford: Fire Department

The ban had been in effect for nearly a month.

From the Wallingford Fire Department

WALLINGFORD, CT — Effective immediately, the Town of Wallingford Emergency Burn Ban has now been lifted. This decision comes as the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) announced that the statewide burn ban has been lifted for State Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Management Areas.

Due to recent precipitation and a reduced fire danger risk reported by CT DEEP, open burning in accordance with the Town of Wallingford Open Burning Ordinance, Chapter 93, is permitted. Approved Open Burn Permits issued through the Fire Prevention Division are valid at this time.
