Christmas Tree Collection Schedule Announced In Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Public Works Department will begin picking up natural Christmas trees in all sections of town beginning Monday, Jan. 8.
Residents must have Christmas trees ready to be picked up at the curbside no later than Sunday, Jan. 7, according to the Public Works Department.
Trees must be clean of ornaments, bows, tinsel, etc. No plastic bags or wreaths will be picked up. This is a one-time pickup, officials said.

Wallingford residents can recycle their natural Christmas trees at the Compost Center at the end of John Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, until Thursday, Jan. 13.
The Compost Area will be CLOSED for the season as of Jan. 14, according to the Public Works Department.
