WALLINGFORD, CT — Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, the legendary New Haven-based pizzeria known for its iconic coal-fired pies, recently partnered with fellow Connecticut-based company Pratt & Whitney, a global leader in aircraft engine design and manufacturing, to celebrate their centennial anniversaries with a bold co-branded menu item and a contribution to Connecticut Foodshare, an affiliate of Feeding America. Pratt & Whitney is an RTX business.
Last month, the iconic brands launched “The Pratt & Whitney Afterburner Pizza” at all 17 Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana locations, selling over 1,700 pies throughout October. The limited-edition pie, which was named after the afterburner devices sometimes added to jet engines to increase their thrust, featured Frank Pepe’s popular Doppio Pepperoni pizza drizzled with Mike’s Hot Honey® for an extra kick.
