The Great Give is a community online-giving day focused on connection. In Wallingford, seventeen nonprofits are joining forces as #greatgive06492. They aim to raise funds as they strengthen their relationships. The promotion collaboration helps us reach you and other prospective local donors: the more connections, the greater the good. Local foundations and civic groups work together as match sponsors. They encourage you to make grassroots gifts. Several donations of $5 can have a major impact.

Why as low as $5?
A gift of gratitude is possible for as little as $5. Family members who have picked up groceries at Master's Manna or the Connecticut Foodshare Truck at the Senior Center, swum or worked out at the Wallingford Family YMCA, had a discovery experience at SCOW, the library, CT Stem Academy, or WPAA-TV; can be supporters. Anyone uplifted by connecting with horses or bunnies, who received a scholarship or medical support from The Sisters' Project or TriCircle, can give back. Families unburdened by Fostering Family Hope, WeCare, or A Kinder Ground can contribute. If your values align with creating healthier neighborhoods or safer roads, you can commit in small ways or as much as life allows. Or, if you just want the pleasure of song... contributing can be fulfilling.
The greatest thing about the Great Give is the feeling of being connected: moments of anticipation, suspense, strategy, hope & celebration. Or simply gratitude for the opportunity to join with others as part of a solution. Sometimes, gratitude is a powerful tool in feeling whole.
