The Connecticut Department of Transportation is advising motorists of lane closures that are expected on I-91 in Wallingford.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation is advising motorists of lane closures that are expected on I-91 in Wallingford next week for survey operations.

The project is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Aug. 20 and be completed on Friday, Aug. 22, according to officials.

The project “consists of surveying operations in support of bridge improvements over Interstate 91,” officials wrote in the advisory.

There will be various lane closures on Interstate 91 northbound and southbound from Exit 15 to Exit 14 from Wednesday, Aug. 20 to Friday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic control signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
