Lit Firework Placed On Wallingford Police Department Entrance Sign: PD

WALLINGFORD, CT — Police said they are looking for the person who is accused of placing a lit firework on top of the police department's entrance sign.

At 1:28 a.m., the on duty Wallingford Police Patrol Shift Commander noticed a firework sparking on top of the Wallingford Police Department entrance sign in front of the building along North Main Street, police said.

"Video surveillance showed an unknown male wearing all black, short sleeves, a dark backpack, with bushy hair placed a firework on top of the entrance sign," police said in a news release. "The suspect lit the firework causing it to spark, and the suspect ran off northbound on North Main Street."
