M&T Bank Celebrates Opening Of New Wallingford Branch
The bank celebrated the opening of its new branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a $10,000 donation to the Wallingford Family YMCA.
WALLINGFORD, CT — M&T Bank celebrated the opening of its new branch in Wallingford with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a $10,000 donation to the Wallingford Family YMCA.
The ceremony took place at the newly constructed location at 809 North Colony Rd., along with the $10,000 check presentation to the Wallingford Family YMCA.
“The Wallingford Family YMCA has been a cornerstone of our community for 80 years, building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities,” Executive Director Sean Doherty said. “This generous donation from M&T Bank demonstrates that they are equally committed to the Wallingford community. These funds will go a long way toward helping us deliver programs, services and relationships that build a healthy spirit, mind and body.”

Officials said in a news release that the new M&T Bank will be a “full-service traditional branch with a comprehensive suite of consumer and business deposit and lending products, including residential mortgages. There will also be a drive-up teller and ATM, serving customers from Wallingford and surrounding towns.”

With two locations in town, the $10,000 donation will support the mission of the Wallingford Family YMCA to strengthen the foundation of the community through programs, services and relationships that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body. The YMCA is an effective resource and influential community partner by building meaningful, caring relationships and promoting healthy, productive lifestyles.

As a full-service bank, the Wallingford branch includes in-branch as well as online and digital solutions to meet customers’ banking preferences. The branch will provide a wide array of consumer, commercial, and wealth management products and services. Seven full-time employees will staff the branch.
