Man Arrested In Robbery Of Convenience Store: Wallingford Police

Police said the man is a suspect in multiple recent robberies in Wallingford and other towns.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A man has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a convenience store in Wallingford on Tuesday morning, according to police.

Police responded around 7 a.m. on Dec. 10 to The Corner Shoppe at 325 Church Street in the Yalesville section of town on the report of a robbery, according to Wallingford Police Chief John Ventura.

Employees at the scene told police that the suspect ran away with cash from the register, according to Ventura.

Ventura said patrol units, with the assistance of the department’s Community Impact Unit and Investigative Services Unit, found a man matching the suspect’s description.

Anthony Pagano, 34, was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, larceny of a motor vehicle, and sixth-degree larceny. He was held in lieu of a $500,000 bond with a court date of Dec. 26.

Ventura said Pagano is a suspect in multiple recent robberies in Wallingford and other towns, and additional arrests are expected.
