Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration To Be Held In Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — A celebration in memory of the life and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held Monday, Jan. 15 in Wallingford, Mayor Vincent Cervoni announced.

The event will take place at 10 a.m. at the Robert F. Parisi Town Council Chambers at Wallingford Town Hall at 45 South Main St.

“The program will include an artwork display, essays and readings from Martin Luther King’s work provided by our elementary, middle school and high school students,” according to a news release. “Debora Kuan, Poet Laureate of Wallingford, will recite a poem and the New Ensemble choral group will perform. The program is presented by the Town of Wallingford, Public Celebrations Committee and Wallingford Board of Education.”
