Milling, Resurfacing Of I-91 Rest Area In Wallingford Announced
A milling and resurfacing project will take place at the I-91 rest area in Wallingford, the state Department of Transportation announced.
WALLINGFORD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on the I-91 South rest area in Wallingford starting next week.
The project is scheduled to start on Wednesday, Sept. 24 and be completed on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Motorists can expect various parking lot closures of the I-91 southbound rest area in Wallingford. The rest area itself will not be closed. Variable message sign boards will be posted at the rest area at least 72 hours before the start of the job. The work schedule for the project is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday to Tuesday (no work on the weekend).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
