Police are investigating after nearly 40 dogs were removed from a home in Wallingford, according to multiple reports.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Nearly 40 dogs were recently removed from a home in Wallingford after an investigation that started more than a year ago, according to multiple reports.
NBC Connecticut reports 37 dogs were removed from a home on Benham Avenue on the strength a search-and-seizure warrant.
The Wallingford Animal Control received an anonymous letter in February 2023 regarding many dogs barking at a home, and concerns about living conditions, according to NBC Connecticut.

Wallingford Animal Control Officer Mitch Gibbs told WTNH News 8 that the seized dogs were being fed well, but there were concerns about living conditions and untreated medical conditions.
The animal control had tried working with the woman at the address to ensure the dogs were receiving proper care, according to WTNH News 8.
