New Lounge Sets Grand Opening Date In Wallingford
Details have been announced for the expansion project of a popular coffee shop and cocktail bar in Wallingford.
WALLINGFORD, CT — The owners of Yellow King Brews, the popular coffee shop and cocktail bar, have announced new details about their expansion project in Wallingford.
The new venture, Carcosa Lounge, will have its grand opening at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 25, according to a post on the Yellow King Brews Facebook page. A soft launch is also planned for the new lounge.
“This allows us to fine-tune our menu and fully train our team to give you the best possible experience from day one,” the owners wrote in the post on Facebook.

Carcosa Lounge is located next to Yellow King Brews at 920 South Colony Road in Wallingford. It has an entrance at the front of the building along with a “pass through from the Yellow King side,” according to the post.
Among the new features at Carcosa Lounge is a “brand new kitchen to revamp all our food!” the owners wrote on the post.

“That includes new pastries, breakfast wraps and sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, wings, salads, paninis, gluten free options, and much more!” the post reads. “The new space features additional seating to fit another 150 guests. a platform to host more live events and a revamped sound system. There is an additional bar added that allows for 24 guests to sit at. With this new space we also have the ability to book private events for any occasion.”
The owners said that not much will change at the existing Yellow King location.
“No more food will be made from the yellow king side however we added a window to grab food from the new kitchen built in the carcosa lounge so you can enjoy our brand new food menu on both sides,” the post reads. “This does however change our policy to no longer allow outside food. Don’t worry Bristol customers you can still bring food to that location.”
