New Sports Betting Facility Opens In Wallingford

The Connecticut Lottery has officially opened the state's latest retail sports betting facility in Wallingford.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Connecticut Lottery officially opened the latest retail sports betting facility in the state Friday morning in Wallingford.

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) and Fanatics Sportsbook officially welcomed “sports fans of legal age to place bets and collect winnings” at the lottery headquarters at 15 Sterling Drive in Wallingford.

The opening marks the lottery’s 12th retail sports betting location in Connecticut.

“Centrally located, the new facility is designed to serve players and sports fans alike,” according to a news release from the CT Lottery. “The full-service venue features a staffed betting window, two self-service kiosks, and screens displaying odds for upcoming sporting events.”

Frank Suarez, President & CEO of the Connecticut Lottery Corporation, said the new facility “creates a perfect one-stop shop for all of our players’ needs.”

“It combines the thrill of a lottery win with the enthusiasm of being a sports fan,” he said.

Wallingford Mayor Vincent Cervoni attended Friday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony and placed the first ceremonial bet — on the Giants to win against the Broncos on Sunday.

“We’re in the center of so many things, and this is a great opportunity,” Cervoni said. “CT Lottery has been a great partner for us. They’re offering one more fun and exhilarating experience for our community, and they’re doing it safely and responsibly.”

Sports betting is available during normal CT Lottery claims business hours. Wallingford joins other Fanatics Sportsbook locations around the state, including at Hartford’s newly remodeled PeoplesBank Arena and at Bridgeport’s Total Mortgage Arena.
