Obituary: Angela M. Perrone, 96, of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Angela M. Perrone, 96, of Wallingford, CT, died Monday, July 5, 2021.

She was the widow of the late Joseph J. Perrone. Angela was born May 30, 1925 in New Haven to the late John and Rose Canapino.

She was a resident of New Haven, West Haven, Hamden and East Haven for 30 years before moving to her daughter’s home in Wallingford in 1980.

Angela was a 1943 graduate of Hamden High School.

An employee of the former Edw Malley Co. McKesson & Robbins, Sears Roebuck Catalog Division of Wheaton, Illinois, a Civil Service Government employee at the U.S. Army Recruiting and Induction Center in New Haven, CT, and the Women’s Army Corps during World War II until their disbandment in 1947.

After moving to Wallingford, CT, she was a member of the Volunteer Service at Masonic Home and Hospital for 11 years and also at the Rock Hill School Library for 8 years.

Survivors include her two daughters, Angela J. Levine (William) of Wallingford, CT, and Patricia A. (Mrs. Robert) Hanusick of Pennsylvania; a beloved grandson, William C. Levine Jr. (Tara) of Northford, CT, her two great granddaughters, Stephanie N. McKay and Taylor A. Levine.

In addition to her husband and parents, Angela is predeceased by her brother, M. Robert Canapino; her granddaughter, Deborah L. McKay; and her son-in-law, Robert Hanusick.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Saturday, July 10th from 9 to 11 am when the funeral cortege will depart to All Saints Cemetery in North Haven where a graveside service will be held at 11:30 am.
