Obituary: Barbara Ward Terry, 93, of Wallingford
Barbara, a woman of great faith and devotion to her family and students, taught at the Holy Trinity School and St. Rita's for many years.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Barbara Ward Terry, 93, of Wallingford passed away peacefully on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Connecticut Baptist Home in Meriden. She was the loving wife of the late Wesley Edward Terry.
She was born in New York, NY, on January 10, 1928, the daughter of late Alonzo and Dorothy (Morrow) Ward. Barbara obtained her Master’s degree in Education and taught at Holy Trinity School and then at St. Rita’s School for many years before retiring in 1990.
A woman of great faith, she was an active parishioner of Church of the Resurrection where she also taught Religious Education.
Barbara enjoyed playing golf and practicing Yoga well into her retirement. She was also a talented quilter and member of the Greater Hartford Quilt Guild.
She shared her beautiful creations with her family members.
Barbara is survived by her son, Clifford W. Terry of Australia; her daughters & sons-in-law, Elizabeth & Michael Frank of Wallingford, Chris & Richard Malinowski of Meriden, and Andrea & John Deventer of New Jersey; eight grandchildren, Chloe Terry, Morgan Phillips (Matt), Kelsey Malinowski, Taylor Malinowski, Jonathan Frank (Nicole), Erica Lombardi (Tim), Brittany Deventer and Curtis Deventer; her great grandchildren who she adored, Max, Wesley, Oliver, Wells and Halle; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, November 21st, from 2-5pm in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 22nd at 10am, directly at Church of the Resurrection.
Interment will be private. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford CT. 06492, or the CT Baptist Home, 292 Thorpe Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
