Obituary: Constance G. (Rosa) Peters, 89, of Wallingford

Connie was a devoted member of the Columbiettes Pinta Council #5 and a parishioner of The Church of the Resurrection.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Constance G. (Rosa) Peters, 89, of Wallingford, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Henry J. Peters.

Connie was born in New Haven, October 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Ernest and Rita (Kendall) Rosa.

Connie was a member of the Columbiettes Pinta Council #5 and a parishioner of The Church of the Resurrection. She enjoyed trips to Vermont with her family, watching cooking shows and collected cookbooks.

For many years she was a “member” of the 3:00 D.D. crew where she met many friends. Connie enjoyed her trips to the casino with her brothers Walter and Billy. She looked forward to visits with the great-grandchildren.

For they would whisper to her, "can I get a candy?" Her reply was always, "yes,
Get 2 and bring one out for daddy." Her candy drawer was always well stocked.

She is survived by her three daughters, Susan Haag, Sharon Whitehouse and her husband Gregory, and Marceline Peters, all of Wallingford; her daughter-in-law, Susan E. Peters of Michigan; her 12 grandchildren, Kimberly Hahn, Heidi Campbell (David) , Jason Montana (Meghan), Melissa Haag, Kevin Haag (Kathy), Sarah DeBlaere (Raymond), Michael Peters, William Peters, Jonathan Whitehouse (Nichol), Timothy Whitehouse (Eric Eurto), Andrew Whitehouse (Molly) Joshua Dontiney and 15 great-Grandchildren Jack, Jamie Campbell, Aiden Montana, Shantae, Anthony, Topanga, Myla, Harry Haag, Olivia, Isaac, Zoey DeBlaere, Connie, Tessa Peters, Olive, Henry Whitehouse, Thomas and Robert Whitehouse.

She is also survived by her sister Geraldine Bronner, sister in-law Joan Rosa and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Peters, grandson, Daniel Peters, great-grandson infant Kevin Haag II, her brothers Edwin, Walter, Billy, George Rosa, and her sisters Lorraine Ferraiolo, Jean Griswold, Doris Boughton, Alice Zullo.

Our family would like to thank Masonicare Home and Hospice Care nurses and aides for their support over the last month so we could keep mom at home with us. Thanks to her aide Simone for the wonderful love and care for over a year, we appreciate you.

Connie’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Tuesday, July 5th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Church of the Resurrection where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:45 p.m.

Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
