Obituary: Dolores A. (Wasilewski) Danio, 86, of Wallingford

Dolores, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, owned Future Shape Figure Salon and Total Eclipse Tanning Salon for many years.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Dolores A. (Wasilewski) Danio, 86, of Wallingford, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, at MidState Medical Center.

She was the loving wife of the late Richard J. Danio Sr., retired Lieutenant-Wallingford Police Department

Dolores was born in Meriden, February 15, 1936, a daughter of the late Vincent and Genevieve (Kowalski) Wasilewski and was a graduate of Lyman Hall H.S. She raised five children and owned Future Shape Figure Salon and Total Eclipse Tanning Salon.

She is survived by her four daughters, Deborah Danio-Marenna and her husband Michael A. Marenna, Cherie A. Mangino and her partner Joseph Benson of Wallingford, Denise Day and her husband David of Meriden, and Dawn M. Sawyer and her husband Glenn of Wallingford; her son, Richard J. Danio, Jr. of Wallingford; her 13 grandchildren; her 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Victor, Henry, Walter and Vincent Wasilewski; her sisters, Helen Donlan and Evelyn Lang; and her daughter-in-law, Tracy A. Bossidy.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street, Ext., on Thursday, March 31st, from 5-7pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday April 1st at 11am.

Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. Gifts in her memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
