Obituary: Dr. Carl Kellan of Wallingford
Dr. Kellan was a prominent physician for over 30 years practicing Internal Medicine, specializing in pulmonology and hematology.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Carl Kellan, MD passed away on July 28 at MidState Hospital after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his family and dear friends.
Dr. Kellan was a prominent physician in the area for over 30 years practicing Internal Medicine specializing in pulmonology and hematology.
Prior to coming to this country in 1968, he practiced medicine in Vienna, Austria. Carl will be remembered for his fluency in five languages, his love of travel and philosophy and his wit and charm.
Dr. Kellan is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Jane (née Uryase), his sister-in-law Sister Mary Cora Uryase, RSM, PhD of Tulsa, OK., a great niece and great nephew in Europe.
He was predeceased by his parents Carolus and Flora, a brother Joseph and a sister Anna.
Dr. Kellan was a parishioner of St. Faustina Parish of SS Peter and Paul Church in Wallingford.
A private funeral will be held. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be made to St. Faustina Parish, 82 Akron Street, Meriden, CT 06450.
Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford.
