Obituary: Edward Louis Scott Sr., 86, of Wallingford

Edward, a loving and devoted family man, worked as a machinist for Allegheny Ludlum and was an avid fisherman and New York Yankees fan.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Edward Louis Scott Sr., 86, of Yalesville, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2021, at Yale New Haven Hospital.

He was born in New Haven on September 30, 1934, a son of the late Harold and Marie (Bruneau) Scott.

As a young man, Edward was drafted into the military, proudly serving in both the United States Army as well as the Army Reserves.

He went on to work as a machinist for Allegheny Ludlum in Wallingford until his retirement.

Edward enjoyed the simple things in life; he was an avid fisherman and an avid fan of the New York Yankees but above all, he cherished his family.

Edward was a great man who truly knew how to love unconditionally and would sacrifice anything for his loved ones.

Edward will be greatly missed; he is survived by his children, Debbie, Eddie, Will and Cheryl; his brother, Harold; his sister, Haroldine; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by his beloved wife, Doris (Kelley) Scott and his sisters, Helen, Ruth and Marie.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 20th in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford.

Interment in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery will follow.
