Obituary: Gregory A. Sorrentino, 61, Of Wallingford

During his professional career, he designed and co-designed more than 35 approved U.S. medical patents.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home): Gregory A. Sorrentino, 61, of Wallingford, CT, passed away on April 14, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Gray) Sorrentino. Gregory was born in Bridgeport, CT, on October 23, 1962 to John and Mary Ellen (Harding) Sorrentino.

Greg graduated from Platt High School of Milford in 1980 and went on to complete a degree in manufacturing engineering.

During his professional career, he dedicated his talents to the research and development of medical equipment. He has designed and co-designed over 35 approved US medical patents.

Greg was an avid fan of sports and a lifetime supporter of the Green Bay Packers. During his personal time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, skiing, and camping. He dedicated many years to coaching his son's baseball teams. Greg enjoyed classic rock music and NASCAR.

Most of all, he liked spending time with his family and friends. He will truly be missed.

In addition to his wife Sharon of 35 years, he is survived by his son Joseph Gray Sorrentino of Boston, MA, and his daughter Olivia Gray Sorrentino of New York, NY. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother John and wife Kelly, sister Karen, and brother Tony and wife Jennifer. In addition, his in-laws: Hugh Gray and wife Ida, Lynn Lynch and husband Bill, James Gray and wife Casey, and Kevin Gray and wife Tanya. He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford, CT has been entrusted with the arrangements.
