Obituary: Harriet J. Llinares, 88, of Wallingford
Harriet was known as generous, social and exceptionally talented. She loved gardening, cooking and spending time with loved ones.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Harriet J. Llinares, 88, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord Jesus Christ on November 23, 2021.
Born in Easton, PA on November 13, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Vera (Tucker) Wagner of Portland, PA.
Harriet was an exceptional and talented person. She was very sociable and had many friends; she was very generous with gifts such as Mozzicato cookies and Munson chocolates.
Harriet loved gardening and landscaping, maintaining her spotless home, and was also quite a good cook. She loved having family and friends over for delicious Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. She loved God and “doing the right thing” and loved helping the “underdog.”
Unfortunately, Harriet experienced health problems throughout her life; she had a stroke in December, 2015, a cancer operation in 2017 and eventually succumbed to dementia.
She was a long-term care patient at Masonicare Health Care, Wallingford, CT, where she received excellent and compassionate nursing care.
She is survived by her loving husband, Vincent, of 61 years of marriage; her son, Brian and his wife, Deborah; her granddaughters, Rebekah Llianares and Courtney Reith and her husband, Ethan; three brothers, James Wagner, Gary Wagner and his wife, Pat, and Thomas Wagner and his wife, Wanda; her sister-in-law, Priscilla Wagner; and numerous extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Dennis Wagner and Lionel Wagner; her sister, Henrietta Wagner; and sisters-in-law, Cathy Wagner and Phyllis Wagner.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Harriet’s memory to Masonic Charity Foundation of Connecticut, P.O. Box 70 Wallingford, CT 06492 or similar organizations in CT.
