Obituary: Helga E. Warren, 93, of Wallingford
Helga, always full of life, was an avid bingo enthusiast and cherished her time with friends and loved ones.
WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Helga E. Warren, 93, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 27, 2022. She was born January 22, 1929 in Mannheim, Germany to the late Otto and Linea Zuck.
Helga loved attending bingo with her friends and did so until her final days.
She leaves behind many cherished friends at Silver Pond where she resided.
She is survived by her children, Jody Warren of New York and Linda Osgood of Meriden; her sister, Inga Budd of Branford; her granddaughters, Nicole Townsend and Penny Dirmyer; her niece, Heidi Izzo and her husband Tony; her nephews, Bruce Budd and Bernd Zuck and his wife Heidi; her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Riley, Michelle, Joey and Kyle; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and beloved friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Eddie Nelson and her brother, Heinz Zuck.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Hartford Healthcare Hospice team for their excellent care and to Tammy and Katie for their help and compassion.
Helga’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Saturday, July 2nd from 10 to 11am.
A prayer service will follow at 11am in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
