Obituary: Isabel Hernandez, 68, of Wallingford
Isabel, a warrior who survived many challenges throughout her lifetime, enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking and spending time with family.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Isabel Hernandez, 68, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022 with her family by her side.
She was born in Añasco, Puerto Rico on June 17, 1953, a daughter of the late Ramon and Mercedes (Garcia) Vargas.
Isabel was a warrior who survived many challenges throughout her lifetime.
She enjoyed traveling, shopping, spending time with her family and enjoying her grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. Isabel was immensely proud of her family and leaves nothing behind but beautiful memories.
Isabel is survived by her husband, Cesar Hernandez of Wallingford; her beloved children, Ivonne Perez-Quintero and her husband, Diego of Wallingford, Jose Perez and his wife, Maria Riza of Wallingford and Edgardo Perez of New Haven; her cherished grandchildren, Jardel I. Quintero, Jayden F. Quintero, Kayell Perez, Joziel E. Perez and Kailanie Perez; her siblings, Eduardo, Juanita, Ramon, Julio, Gladys, Mercedes, Carlos, Aida, Patrick and Jose; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Nydia and her brother, Raymond.
Isabel’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 10:00AM – 11:30AM when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00PM.
Interment in St. John Cemetery will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly prefer that memorial donations be made to the ALS Association, www.als.org/donate.
