Obituary: Janet C. Murray, 74, of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Janet C. Murray, 74, of Wallingford, wife of Allan Murray, passed away June 10, 2022 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.

Janet was born in Meriden on December 14, 1947, a daughter of the late Charles and Diane (Bruton) Cziko.

Janet graduated from the Grace-New Haven School of Nursing in 1968. She worked as a registered nurse for 17 years at Meriden Wallingford Hospital and then worked for 17 years for Pediatrics Plus in North Haven until she retired.

She was equally productive and creative outside of work, always quilting, knitting, or cooking gourmet meals. She enjoyed exploring Maine, Cape May and the Connecticut Wine Trail during retirement.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Marc Polanski of Los Angeles and Matthew Murray and his wife, Queennette Santiago, of Los Angeles; her daughter, Mary Murray and her husband, Derek Butcher, of Seattle, WA; and her grandchildren, Riley and Alana Polanski and Nathan Butcher.

A Graveside service will be held at 11 am on August 5, 2022 at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery in Wallingford. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. Wallingford.
