Obituary: Janet A. Nehez, 59, Of Wallingford
Janet, who worked at Kuhn Employment Opportunities in Meriden, earned several medals swimming in the Special Olympics over the years.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Janet Ann Nehez, 59, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. She was the daughter of Corilynn (Sattler) Nehez of Cary, NC, and the late William A. Nehez Sr.
Janet will be missed by her siblings and their spouses; Lori and Daniel Rukamp of Cary, NC; Jennifer and Christopher Esser of Scottsdale, AZ; William and Megan Nehez of Raymond, ME. She was predeceased by her sister, Susan Nehez. She will also be missed by her nephews Will, Jackson, and William, as well as her nieces Grace, Abbey and Taylor. Janet also leaves her guardians, Michelle Pych and Loriann Aiello of Meriden, whom she lived with for almost 14 years.
Growing up in Wallingford, Janet graduated from Sheehan High School in 1985. Following high school, Janet worked at Kuhn Employment Opportunities in Meriden enabling her to be successfully employed in the community.

Janet loved music, dancing, bowling, swimming and watching sports to name a few. She earned several medals swimming in the Special Olympics over the years.
She loved dogs and cats, especially her dog Madison. Janet also enjoyed the many years she went to the John Nerden Camp in Middlefield during the summer.

Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford on Monday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A service will be held immediately following at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Meriden.
