Obituary: Jerrine Hall Dietle, 89, of Wallingford

Jerrine worked for Dr. Carl Hoffman in orthodontics for many years and was a parishioner of The Most Holy Trinity Church.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Jerrine Hall Dietle, 89, of Wallingford, died on Wednesday August 25, 2021, at MidState Hospital.

Jerrine was born in Plainville, on October 7, 1931, the daughter of the late John Hall and Viola Hunter Hall.

She was a Wallingford resident for many years. Before retiring, she worked for Dr. Carl Hoffman in his orthodontics practice.

Alongside her loving husband Donald, they taught ballroom dancing for over 60 years.

She was a parishioner of The Most Holy Trinity Church.

She is predeceased by her husband Donald.

She is survived by her daughter Dona J. Dietle Smith and her husband Scott of Wallingford; her two sons John J. Dietle and his wife Elizabeth, of Middletown and Donald J. Dietle, Jr., and his wife Kathleen, of Wallingford; her nine grandchildren: Aimee Dietle (Jonathan) Dawson, Matthew Dietle, Nicholas (Cheyanne) Valinsky, Benjamin Valinsky, Craig Dietle, Kari Dietle, Aiden Casey, Emma Smith, and Kacey Smith; and her great-grandson Michael Dawson.

Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 4pm to 7pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, at 10am directly at The Most Holy Trinity Church.

Interment will be at Saint John Cemetery in Wallingford. Masks will be required at all services.
