Obituary: Joseph Salvatore Severino, 77, of Wallingford
Joseph was a proud firefighter for the town of Wallingford prior to retirement and was a loving and devoted family man.
WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Joseph Salvatore Severino, age 77, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2022 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.
Joseph was born in New Haven, son of the late Armand and Louise Severino and resided in Wallingford.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Johns. Joseph was a firefighter for the town of Wallingford for many years until his retirement. Husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and son, his love for travel and new experiences filled his life
Joseph is survived by his son, David Severino; stepchildren, Anne Sagnella, Pamela Hubbard, Christopher and Peter Johns; his grandchildren, Jayne and Christopher Johns; and his siblings Armand Severino of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Sr. Carolyn Severino, ASCJ of Hamden, and Thomas Severino of Hamden/Boca Raton, FL.
The family would like to thank the staff at Regency House Health and Rehabilitation Center and MidState Medical Center for their special care given to Joseph.
Calling hours are on Thursday, July 7, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main Street Ext. in Wallingford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road in Wallingford.
Interment will be private.
