Obituary: Michael A. Zyjewski, 66, of Wallingford
Michael worked as a plant foreman for 42 years at United Concrete Products. He was a loving father, devoted friend and avid football fan.
WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Michael A. Zyjewski, 66, of Wallingford, passed away at his home, after a courageous battle with Cancer, with his family by his side on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
Mike was born in New Haven, July 22, 1955, a son of Maureen (Stewart) Zyjewski of Wallingford, and the late Anthony Zyjewski and graduated from Mark T. Sheehan H.S.
He worked as a plant foreman at United Concrete Products where he was considered a family member for over 42 years.
Mike was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and enjoyed fishing, bald eagles, taking rides in his Corvette, snowmobiling and cowboy-western shows.
In addition to his mother Maureen, Mike will be missed by his daughter Shannon M. (Zyjewski) Amenta, her husband Edward and her mother Liz Zyjewski; grandson Jonathan Leonard; sisters Sandy (Mrs. Wayne) Moody and Karen Cyr and her husband Paul; brother Steven Zyjewski; nieces and nephews, Brittany Cyr, Demiree Cyr, David Zyjewski (Erica) and Paul Zyjewski (Jaelene).
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Friday, July 1st, from 4 to 6:30pm.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 6:30pm. Interment will be private. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
