Obituary: Pasquale “Pat” J. DeBaise, 95, of Wallingford
Pat was the owner and operator of DeBaise and Son's Heating and Air Conditioning for many years and was heavily involved in the community.
WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Pasquale “Pat” J. DeBaise, 95, of Wallingford, died Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was the beloved husband of 75 years to Florence “Lil” (Carroll) DeBaise.
Pat was born in Wallingford, August 13, 1926, one of 13 children to the late Pasquale and Assunta (DellaVecchia) DeBaise and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.
He was the owner and operator of DeBaise and Son’s Heating and Air Conditioning.
Pat was active in local politics first as a member of the Town Planning & Zoning Commission and then representing Wallingford in the Connecticut General Assembly in Hartford for 12 years.
In addition to his wife Lil, he is survived by his four sons, John DeBaise of Pennsylvania, Dennis DeBaise and his wife, Evelina of New Jersey, Pat DeBaise of Wallingford, and Thomas DeBaise and his wife, Janet of Florida; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild; his sister, Dolores Slavinski; his brother, Anthony DeBaise; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was predeceased by siblings, Annie Coogan, Philomena Bertomeu, Lena Dighello, Josephine Brill, Bessie Canell, Dominic DeBaise, Rose Rametta, Michael DeBaise, Robert DeBaise and James DeBaise.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 25th at 11:00am directly at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 North Colony St., Wallingford. Entombment with military honors will follow at the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Meriden.
