Obituary: Theresa A. Stasiewski, 94, Of Wallingford
Known as "Typhoon Tessie," her trademark holiday cookies were always highly anticipated. She worked many years at International Silver Co.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Theresa A. (Levack) Stasiewski, otherwise known as "Typhoon Tessie," 94, of Wallingford, died Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Regency House. She was the loving wife of the late Alfred F. Stasiewski.
Theresa was born in Exeter, PA, August 27, 1929, a daughter of the late Alexander and Helen (Kurzyniec) Levack. She worked many years at the International Silver Co. and was a parishioner of SS. Peter and Paul Church in Wallingford.
Theresa always enjoyed entertaining a near constant flow of friends, family, and neighbors with a wide assortment of rhymes, songs, poems, and riddles. Her trademark holiday cookies were always highly anticipated.

Whenever not in the kitchen baking, “Typhoon Tessie” could usually be found sitting in her favorite recliner, watching game shows, UConn Huskies Women's Basketball, or the Boston Red Sox. She also enjoyed listening to music and trying to win radio contests on 99.1 PLR, sometimes winning and even attending concerts.
As she always used to say, "Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday, and when I get through the mattress, I'll see you in the spring!"

She is survived by her sons, Glenn and his wife Donna, and Gary and his wife Anne; her grandchildren, Matthew and Brett; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Edward and Blanche Levack, Eleanor and Frank Kopcza, Blanche and Edward Witkowski, Helen and George Kahl, and Patricia and Eric Johnson.
Theresa’s family would like to personally thank Regency House as well as all of her other care providers for their unwavering support.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 10 a.m., directly at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 139 N. Orchard St., Wallingford. Interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, in Wallingford.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to Most Holy Trinity School, 11 N Whittlesey Ave, Wallingford, CT 06492. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.
