Parking Ban Announced In Wallingford

Police are advising motorists of an upcoming temporary parking ban that will be in effect in Wallingford.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Police are advising residents of a temporary parking ban that will be in effect for a school dance in Wallingford.

The Wallingford Boys & Girls Club, 72 Grand Street, will be hosting a dance for the eighth-grade students of Dag Hammarskjold Middle School from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 30.

“During this time, a significant increase in both pedestrian and vehicular traffic is expected in the area as families arrive to drop off and pick up students,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Due to the already limited width of Prospect Street, no parking will be permitted on Prospect Street during the event to help facilitate a safer and more efficient traffic flow.
