Steven J. Brown, 56, passed away on Jan. 26, 2025. Born Nov. 3, 1968, he was a graduate of Sheehan High School and a self-employed carpenter for many years before being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which required him to retire at a young age.
Frances M. Turtola, 91, passed away on Feb. 5, 2025. Born Aug. 11, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY, she co-owned Food Box Deli in Hamden with her late husband, later worked at Rosa’s Deli into her 80s, was a longtime parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Fatima Church, and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing piano, singing to her bird Sonny, and watching “General Hospital.”

Hilda (Souza) Ceragioli, 92, passed away on Feb. 5, 2025. She worked at Wallace Silversmith, W.T. Grant, Connecticut House Pewterers, and Lord & Taylor, was a dedicated homemaker, avid shopper, passionate cook known for her lasagna and pound cake, enthusiastic gardener, bird watcher, decorator, and traveler who enjoyed trips to Hilton Head, Ogunquit, Europe, and a Germany river cruise with family and friends.
Dorothy A. (Oneto) Ahern, 93, passed away on Feb. 8, 2025. She worked for 28 years at Masonic Home, was a devoted churchgoer, enjoyed walking at the Square, baking for her family, and spending time with loved ones.

Alphonsus J. Mitchell, 93, passed away on Feb. 15, 2025. Born in Bergen County, NJ, he served in the Army during the Korean War, worked as a journalist before transitioning to public relations at Wesleyan, Yale, and Fairfield University, was active in church and community service, co-led Wallingford’s annual road race, recorded audiobooks for the blind, and enjoyed music, sports, reading, and lively conversation.
Agnes C. Beichner, 87, passed away on Feb. 14, 2025. Born in Strattanville, PA, she was a dedicated homemaker who also worked when needed, enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and traveling across 49 states, Canada, and Mexico in an RV with her husband, Martin.
