Ruth P. Chadwick, 77, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025. A retired bookkeeper and computer operator, she was active in the Junior Women’s Club and PTO, enjoyed crafting for holiday fairs, and spent her retirement playing Mahjong, Texas Hold’em, Military Whist, and Setback at the Senior Center.

Concetta “Connie” Marchi, 93, passed away on March 4, 2025; a medical office administrator and former employee of Cable Wave Systems and Wallace Silversmiths, she was a self-taught photographer who won numerous awards and was dedicated to lifelong learning.

Constance “Connie” Johanna (Bracey) Matthews, 84, passed away on March 1, 2025. An English teacher for more than 50 years at schools including Choate Rosemary Hall, where she also served as Director of Multicultural Affairs, she created CALSA, directed the Icahn Scholars Program, knitted scarves for those in need, and enjoyed long drives leading to walks by the water.

John C. LaPenna, 54, passed away on Feb. 27, 2025, after a short, difficult battle with cancer that he fought valiantly. An IT professional for Marriott Corporation for 30 years and later at Tanager Inc., he was an avid hockey, football, and Yankees fan who enjoyed concerts and attending games with family.

Joseph Kenneth Evitts, 90, passed away on March 6, 2025. A retired machinist/service engineer for Waterbury Farrel, he enjoyed bowling, traveling, following the New York Yankees and UConn Women's Basketball, and spending time with his family, especially his four granddaughters.

Angela M. (Tronolone) Sgambati, 87, passed away on March 8, 2025; she worked at Gaylord Hospital for 27 years and enjoyed traveling, especially to Aruba, while being devoted to her family and friends.

Gary Lee Morgan, 91, passed away on March 6, 2025. A Navy veteran and Pratt & Whitney inspector for 35 years, he enjoyed bowling, watching sports, and socializing at the Wallingford Senior Center while staying connected to his West Virginia roots.

João Ribas, 73, passed away on March 9, 2025. A retired construction worker with Local 146, he enjoyed gardening and spending summers in Portugal with family and friends.
