Donald J. O’Byrne Jr., 68, died Mar. 7, 2025. A firefighter for 27 years in Wallingford before becoming a truck driver for Bozzuto’s, he enjoyed 4x4 mud bogs, knife sharpening, and chainsaw competitions, served as treasurer of S.A.L. Squadron 45 for 18 years, and joined Angelica’s Angels to support cancer research.
Thomas E. Dwyer, 66, died Mar. 10, 2025, at Connecticut Hospice. An engineer for 38 years with the American Bureau of Shipping, he worked globally in Korea, Japan, and Saudi Arabia, served on the ASME Boiler Inspectors Board, and was a U.S. Navy Reserve officer.

William C. Taylor, 90, died Mar. 11, 2025. A U.S. Army veteran, he had a successful retail career managing at WT Grants, Child World, and KidStuff, later worked for his sons-in-law at Aladdin and George-Harte Nissan, and was a devoted fan of the UConn Huskies and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Richard T. Krupski, 65, died Mar. 10, 2025. A dedicated State of Connecticut employee for over 20 years, he also worked at RayBestos, H&R Block, and as an usher at Oakdale Theater, enjoyed fantasy sports, riding his Harley, coaching Little League and basketball, and volunteering as a ski club chaperone, while also supporting veterans and clamming in Delaware.

Frank C. Totz Jr., 94, died Mar. 10, 2025. He worked at International Silver, then served 34 years as a letter carrier and delivery supervisor at the U.S. Postal Service, later joining the Wallingford Public Library staff and volunteering for book donations and fundraising events, while also serving in the U.S. Army Reserve and volunteering with the Yalesville Fire Department.
Alice Treadway Gow (Darius) Fekete, 90, died Mar. 14, 2025. An administrative assistant at CT Hospital Association and church secretary for The First Baptist Church of Wallingford, she volunteered with the Dominican Republic Mission Team, enjoyed gardening, beach trips, puzzles, and time with her family.
Sean Christopher O'Connor, 85, died Mar. 15, 2025. A chemist who worked with Bristol-Myers in Tokyo, he was fluent in Japanese and Irish, published detective novels in Irish, and enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, and Monty Python.
Guido M. Volpati Sr., 81, died Mar. 15, 2025. Traveling the world as a crew member on the S/S Oceanic, he worked as a First Pressman at Northeast Graphics, cultivated extensive vegetable and rose gardens, collected stamps, followed the stock market, enjoyed photography, fishing, fine wine, soccer, football, and classical music.
Rosemarie (Anastasio) Sferes, 84, died Mar. 17, 2025. A longtime Sheehan High School employee, she enjoyed summers in Maine, holiday gatherings, casino shows, dancing, motorcycle rides, and had an undeniable passion for lobster.
Mike Cano, 75, died Mar. 19, 2025. A skilled computer technician at Prime Computer, he also embraced an adventurous, freewheeling lifestyle, played multiple instruments, and was a passionate reader and strategist, excelling in chess, crosswords, and mental games while challenging norms with a thirst for truth.
