Road Closure Announced For Turkey Trot Road Race In Wallingford
Wallingford Police announce a road closure that will be in effect for the upcoming Turkey Trot road race.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford Police have announced a road closure that will be in effect during the upcoming Turkey Trot Road Race, which is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Wallingford.
The race will take place on Sunday, Nov. 23.

South Elm Street, between the intersection of Center Street and Pond Hill Road, will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic on Sunday, Nov. 23, between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Police said local traffic will be permitted on the above roadway, however, residents are encouraged to avoid utilizing the road during the short duration race for the safety of the runners.

“If residents must drive during these times, please use extreme caution as you can expect to encounter runners in the roadway and minor traffic delays,” police wrote in a news release.
