WALLINGFORD, CT — Police are advising residents of a temporary road closure that will be in effect on Sunday, June 29.

The Wallingford Country Club on Long Hill Road is hosting a private event that will conclude with a fireworks display, scheduled to begin shortly after 9 p.m. and is expected to last approximately 20 minutes, according to police.

“For the safety of all attendees and nearby residents, Long Hill Road will be temporarily closed to through traffic during the fireworks display,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The road closure will last for the duration of the show, approximately 20 minutes. Members of the Wallingford Police and Fire Departments will be on-site to monitor the event and ensure public safety.
