Sheehan Rolls Into Class S Football Semifinals

The Titans advanced with a dominant victory over North Branford in the Class S quarterfinals.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Sheehan football team rolled into the Class S semifinals with a 42-0 quarterfinal victory over North Branford on Wednesday night in North Branford.

It was the second straight 42-0 victory for the Titans, who beat town rival Lyman Hall by the same score in the Carini Bowl on Thanksgiving.

Quarterback Jake O’Brien helped lead Sheehan over fourth-seeded North Branford with two touchdown passes and 100 yards rushing and another touchdown, according to GameTimeCT.

Joshua Durant also ran for two touchdowns and finished with more than 100 yards, and Sebastian Rosario caught both of O’Brien’s touchdown passes, according to GameTimeCT.

Sheehan, the tournament’s fifth seed, will take on top-seeded Woodland in a semifinal showdown on Monday, Dec. 8.
