Sheehan Storms Into Class S Football Championship Game

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Sheehan football team is making a return trip to the state finals after a dominant 41-20 victory over top-seeded Woodland in the Class S semifinals Monday night in Beacon Falls.

Senior running back Joshua Durant led the way for the fifth-seeded Titans, finishing with 267 yards rushing and five touchdowns, according to GameTimeCT.

Sheehan will take on sixth-seeded Northwest Catholic in the Class S championship game on Saturday, Dec. 13. The site and time of the game are to be determined.

Northwest Catholic advanced to the title game with a 21-0 victory over No. 7 Ansonia on Monday night.

The Titans lost to Killingly in the Class SS championship game last year.
