George W. Mellor Jr., 96, died on Apr. 21, 2025. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and longtime U.S. Post Office employee, he was also a farmer, antique dealer, furniture restorer, and entrepreneur who enjoyed nature, storytelling, travel, and single-malt Scotch.

Marion J. Preble, 93, passed away on Apr. 21, 2025. A devoted homemaker, she later traveled extensively across the U.S. with her husband in their camper following his retirement.
Cecilia T. (Czekalski) Holuba, 88, died on Apr. 21, 2025. A former kindergarten teacher, World War II survivor, and church secretary, she was an avid gardener, quilter, sailor, traveler, puzzle-solver, and cook who became a U.S. citizen in 1977.

Peter Rosa, 65, died on Apr. 21, 2025; He worked over 30 years at Lifeline Products, was a dedicated Yankees fan, and spent many years playing and coaching softball.
Calvin Paul Weiss, 2 weeks, died on Apr. 22, 2025; Born on Apr. 7, 2025, he immediately contributed to science by participating in 3 different research studies on premature babies, and even earned a “Little Yale Research Assistant” onesie.

Jacqueline Rose Mitchell, 96, died on Apr. 24, 2025. After a 30-year career in Purchasing and H.R. at Phelps Dodge and C.S.I., she volunteered for 15 years and pursued photography, capturing images of nature, pets, family, and her travels to Ireland, Alaska, Vermont, and on cruises.
