Wallingford Election Results 2025: Cervoni Wins Re-Election, Dems Gain Council Majority
Republican Mayor Vinny Cervoni won re-election to a second term on what ended up being a big night for Democrats in Tuesday's election.

WALLINGFORD, CT — While incumbent Republican Mayor Vinny Cervoni won re-election to a second term, he’ll be working with a new Town Council with a Democratic majority after Tuesday’s municipal election.
Cervoni defeated Democratic challenger Alida Cella 6870 to 4971, according to unofficial results.
Democrats gained a 5-4 majority on the Town Council, and picked up a seat on the Board of Education.

Incumbent Democratic Councilors Vinnie Testa, Samuel Carmody and Jesse Reynolds won re-election and will be joined by newcomers Melanie Rossacci and Bryan Rivard.
Incumbent Republican Councilors Christina Tatta, Craig Fishbein, Tom Laffin, and Autumn Allinson also won re-election.

For the Board of Education, incumbent Republicans Ray Ross, Jennifer Passaretti, Rajan Doering, Donna Regan, and Caroline Raynis all won re-election.
Democrats Michael Votto and Maureen Reed won re-election to the Board of Education and will be joined by newcomers Kristi Doerr and Duncan Craig.
In a message to residents, Cervoni said he was "honored to have been re-elected for another two years and am grateful for the trust you have shown in me."
"Rest assured, our administration will continue to work hard every single day to make Wallingford a stronger and better place to live," Cervoni wrote in a post on Facebook. "We have made a great deal of progress over the course of my first administration. Nonetheless, I am well aware that there is more work to be done. We will attack that work every single day.
"Thank you for giving me another two years in this office. It is an honor that I will never take for granted."

Mayor
Incumbent Republican Mayor Vinny Cervoni is being challenged by Democrat Alida Cella.
Town Council
For Town Council, residents can vote for up to any nine candidates. The Democratic candidates are: Samuel Carmody, Jeffrey Kohan, Vincent Testa Jr., Jesse Reynolds, Melanie Rossacci, and Bryan Rivard. The Republican candidates are: Joe Marrone III, Christopher Regan, Christina Tatta, Craig Fishbein, Tom Laffin, and Autumn Allinson. Darrell Stancuna is on the ballot as a Petitioning candidate.
Board of Education
For Board of Education, residents can vote for up to any nine candidates. The Democratic candidates are: Maureen Reed, Duncan Craig, Kyler Allen, Kristi Doerr, Brenda Shuler, and Michael Votto. The Republican candidates are: Marla Roscoe, Rajan Doering, Donna Regan, Caroline Raynis, Jennifer Passaretti, and Ray Ross.
